Here’s my former next door neighbour/homie Zac McKay repping the Australian side of Nike SB. Zac is renowned for picking up multiple girls in a week (or 24 hour period), breaking into my house at 5am to say hi and have a toke, and generally killing it on a skateboard when he feels like it.

The FIRST full length skateboard video out of China!~ It just got premiered on December 25th, 2009….so have a look at this bootleg and go and buy it as soon as you can find it in North America. Originally from Toronto, Johnny relocated to China about 5 years ago. He’s the Nike SB China team manager. Unlike many fat and old TM’s, Johnny still rips and rides for FLY skateshop, Gift skateboards, Nike Sha-Bi and Cart wheels. Johnny’s greatly missed in Toronto, but you can see why he doesn’t plan on leaving Shanghai any time soon, 70 cent 1.5L beers aside.
Nike SB is prounounced “Nike Sha-Bi” in China, which apparently means “Nike Pussy” (not as in cat..)*

*UPDATE* Just got an email from Allie in Hangzhou, China. Turns out sha-bi means “stupid twat”. Excellent.

Toronto’s legendary Johnny Tang defected to Shanghai 5 years ago, and after spending a bit of time here I can see why: Short winter, TONS of scooters and motorcycles to skitch ,more spots then a sickly redheaded stepchild…and Club Babyface. Well, maybe not so much Club Babyface.
