All Wrapped Up ghetto quality version

The FIRST full length skateboard video out of China!~ It just got premiered on December 25th, 2009….so have a look at this bootleg and go and buy it as soon as you can find it in North America. Originally from Toronto, Johnny relocated to China about 5 years ago. He’s the Nike SB China team manager. Unlike many fat and old TM’s, Johnny still rips and rides for FLY skateshop, Gift skateboards, Nike Sha-Bi and Cart wheels. Johnny’s greatly missed in Toronto, but you can see why he doesn’t plan on leaving Shanghai any time soon, 70 cent 1.5L beers aside.

Nike SB is prounounced  “Nike Sha-Bi” in China, which apparently means “Nike Pussy” (not as in cat..)*

At least that’s what Lyn told me. Can anyone confirm this one? Email me.

*UPDATE* Just got an email from Allie in Hangzhou, China. Turns out sha-bi means “stupid twat”. Excellent.

FLY MONDAYS MUHFUGGAH! Double dose of kick flippage this week courtesy of Johnny Tang and Tommy Zhao. Tommy’s a filmer for FLY and Nike SB China and has some pretty gnarly footage linked to his site Skate WHABOS. Johnny Tang and the crew at Fly Skateshop/Gift Skateboards/Cart Wheels in Shanghai are busy filming for their video dropping in October 2009 and they’ve donated some throwaway footage for your viewing pleasure. Because it’s some ill stuff I figure lets make this a weekly thing until the video is done.

Fly Fridays may sound a bit more slick but I really couldn’t be bothered to wait until Friday…so first up is Toronto’s Johnny Tang himself, not to be confused with fellow team rider Johnnie Tang who’s from Hong Kong. Got it? Good.

There’s a lot going on in Shanghai right now, so plenty of updates for your bad self. The Asian X-Games are in town, so I’ve got some good footage of what went down on the street course coming soon, 3 new Dork Trick Tips are on the way, an interview with Johnny Tang is about to go down along with some footage from the FLY skateboard team’s trip to Beijing. Check back on the regular, content is flowing like a bumbaclaat, or perhaps even a rasclaat.

Toronto’s legendary Johnny Tang defected to Shanghai 5 years ago, and after spending a bit of time here I can see why: Short winter, TONS of scooters and motorcycles to skitch ,more spots then a sickly redheaded stepchild…and Club Babyface. Well, maybe not so much Club Babyface.
