Ademar “Luquinhas” Lucas

Luquinhas is an extremely gifted person and very humble at the same time, which can be a rare thing. I’ve never heard anyone say a bad thing about him, and if you get to meet him you’ll know doubt understand why. The guy just radiates good vibes, so expect big things because he’s way younger than you and he has more tricks than the biggest Putaria in Brasil…..

So, lets start with the typical questions…name, age, sponsors?

Ademar Lucas aka Luquinhas, I’m 18 and I’ve been skateboarding for 7 years. Right now I’m part of the flow team for DC shoes, Brasil.

Recently you were traveling across Brasil for an MTV show, how was that?

Yeah, I was part of this program with Marcelo D2 (MC), Fernandinho (beat boxer), Felipe Motta (graffiti artist), DJ Will and another skater Willians Dentinho. I didn’t know most of the crew but I’ve known Felipe and Dentinho for a while. The experience was amazing, it helped me out a lot by getting my image on national TV and material in Brasil’s biggest skateboard magazine, 100%. I got to see a lot of places and met some good friends too.

How many kilos of weed does Marcelo D2 smoke every day?

A little…!

You got to travel to a lot of places last year, what did you think of Chile?

It was sick…so many dope spots, a really good crew (good blood!), the only thing I didn’t like was the food.

How’s your Spanish? You meet some Chilean gatinhas?

I don’t speak Spanish, but for me it wasn’t hard to meet girls there!

How was “Go Skate Day” in Rio de Janeiro this year?

Style, there were way more people than last year. They premiered a best trick contest too, it was an unforgettable day for the Rio crew.

Remember when we were filming at that handrail in Flamengo and you started taking photos with those random ho’s… Any other crazy things happen on the streets of RJ recently?

Like always, every day is new story here. Skating on the streets here in Rio is never easy, a lot of stuff happens here in a little time!

I just want to thank everyone who’s in my life day to day, friends, family and God. I also want to thank Dsurfskate who helped me a lot. Jaba, they all miss you here, come back and my pop says he’s going to make a churrasco (BBQ) for us!
