So I was digging around and found these 2 photos that I took in San Diego, February 1997.

R-L Jeff Taylor, Jerry Fowler, Felix Arguelles

I was in San Diego for a week and ran into so many pros just cruising around randomly. It doesn’t seem that long ago, but you don’t really see footage of Jeff, Jerry, or Felix anymore……so what are they actually doing now? Here’s whats going on:

Jeff Taylor: Works as VP and in marketing for Adio Footwear, and Planet Earth Clothing

Jerry Fowler:  Is a paramedic

Felix Arguelles:  “Felix is considered the largest Latino figure in the history of Action Sports.” (says onefelix.com)

….so bad. It’s been down for days, hence you can’t see any of the videos I’ve posted except for the Chris Senn podcast. Hopefully it’s working again soon, and by then I’ll have a much better video player without lame ass advertisements after every play.

This handrail is terrible. It’s high, on a busy street, it needs a wood landing, and you have to get up a curb before you hit it.It sucks. I met Chris (along with party guy/WCS Judge/comp MC/dagger OG Dave Duncan) at the classic Rio Sul bowl in 2002. I lived right around the corner, so I’d seen tons of people skate there before, but no one touched Senn. He skates a 10 foot pool like it’s a little mini ramp. I’ve never seen anyone get so many lines, and keep so much speed at the same time. Senn is definitely one of those guys that you need to see skate in person to understand why he’s one of the rare skaters to win Thrasher “Skater of the Year”.
